Has anyone here heard anything from Fo Mo Co about the possibility of a Generation 4 Taurus SHO.? I think that it would be a great idea if they get away from the V8s and stick to V6s. with some surprises under the hood. Also, the new SHO should wait to re-debut until after the granny Taurus is redone... Let me know what you all think, maybe we can start a petition, and persuade Fo Mo Co to rethink the SHO once again... Thanx.. Michael

Personally I think that Ford Should bring in the BA from Australia as a replacement for the Taurus lineup. Currently they have the following

XR6 - six banger
XR6T - six banger with a Turbo
XR8 - 8 banger
Fairmont - cant remember

Coming soon

GT - same as XR8 but with 290kw 5.4L engine
GT-p - unknown at this time still supposed to come with 290kw 5.4 but with more extras like brembo's and a few other options that the GT is not getting
GTHO - Still undecided when to release this and what is going to be put in it. Rumors abound to a 5.4 with S/C similar to the GT40 or maybe a variant of a turbo on the 5.4

They would never have a Taurus with a 5.4L engine. It just won't happen. I would personally like to see the Gen 4 SHO come back, preferably with a V6. The Lotus engineered V8 had some flaws or so I've heard. I actually participated in a survey from Ford a while back about what I thought that the new SHO should be. They also asked if we thought they should use Yamaha again in the development, my vote was yes. If they actually used this survey information I have no idea, probably not it's been a while and I have not heard anything..

Just some information.

Ford Execs are running areound in some BA's that were brought over from AU. Could this be a start to a real car from ford with some real quality?

My question is why would they not have it with a 5.4? And why settle for an underpowered v6 with a turbo slapped on it when you can get a 5.4 with more ponies and less things to go wrong with it?
