This is gonna sound really stupid and I admit I don't know that much about cars, but have a 1999 Ford Taurus SE. My question is whenever the car is sitting for any length of time with the engine on, Ex: At a stop light, The Fan that cools the rad/engine (see, it tells u how much I no about cars LOL) Turns on. Even if it is -30 out. Could this be anything?? LOL Sorry to waste your time on this, but I'm just curious if it is supposed to come on as frequently as it does. I have never Seen any other car do this so I'm just wondering.

hahahaha lol that is kind of a stupid question but your not a car guy so its o.k. but yes it is normal for the car fan to go on like it does, even if it was
-30 degrees out the engine is still very hot engines need to be cooled off by the fan and the radiator coolant.so if it was -30 degrees out the engine could still be around 250 degrees! lol it is very much normal. plus just think if it wasnt on all the time cooling the engine... then your car would over heat and you would be replacing alot! dont worry about your car its fine!
