I have a 2001 taurus that the left high beam will not work. I bought the car this way so I am starting from scratch. I found that the 2 fuses ( one for left and one for right) in the engine compartment are good and am looking what I should look at next. I did replace the bulb of course.

Is there power at the fuses? If there is, it's possibly the wiring to the multi-function switch. There should be power to both headlights and the red/black and light green/ black get grounded through that switch and the headlight switch. There are connections along the way and both sides connect together at a solder joint.
