when im driving and i turn on the heater smoke comes out i know its the heater core do you think if i put bars leak in it will it fix the leak

It may, but it is just a short term fix. It may also stop up the core. I personally don't recommend the stuff. You could always by-pass it, but I don't recommend that either. Just another option.

Bars Leak may work, as long as you cut the amount stated on the bottle in half. You don't need to use a whole bottle. If you use a whole bottle then you may end up with a plugged heater core.

I have had better luck with the kitchen spice, ginger. It has worked for me!!! Get engine warm, dump in a can of ginger, run it a few miles. Maybe 10 miles or so!!! jps
