HELP! coolant recovery tank possible leak? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have coolant coming from around or underneath maybe? It leaked alot today but stopped. Seems to do this when it idles for a while maybe building pressure and pushing the fluid out? Oh and yes I have a 2000 Mercury Sable 3.0 Vulcan engine with 114,000 plus miles. please advise Thanks in advance Greg

A pressure test of cooling system should show where leak is coming from .

When I had my 01 it developed a small leak which appeared to be coming from under the radiator. Turned out to be the recovery tank leaking and running down the fender well to the front of the car. Might also check at the water pump.
