I have a 2000 ford taurus flex fuel. I replaces the FPR and now am throwing p0193. But the car is running fine, no drop in rpms or bad idel. Dont know wats goin on. Check the vaccum line, the wiring, check everything. Only thing i can maybe think of is the plug itself?

Can you moniter pids if so what is the frp_v reading?

I am still getting this code, check the fuel pressure again and it was around 50 psi, with car running. Its also a flex fuel if that means anything.

You need to look at the FRPREAB PID value with a scan tool. Key on engine off should be more than 1 or less than 150. Less than one replace the Rail pressure sensor (they're calling it a compuvalve) more than 150 is high pressure, if bleeding off the system then repressurising is over 150 replace the sensor.

do i just use a scan tool like you get from auto zone to read the FRPREAB PID value ?

You'll have to see what they sell. It can't be a cheapy one that just does codes. Has to have sensor readouts. Ask to see if they'll let you try one first before buying.
