hi, recently I got a 98 taurus with 88K miles. every runs good except the noise come from engine(or other part). When I drive at 35 mph, a strange noise comes out, but when I speed up or slow down, the noise disappear.
It really bother me for a long time. some guys say noise from CAM Sensor and Synchronizer. Do you have any idea? Thanks

Noise concern could be anything. Trannys can make a "whining" noise when going bad.

some body said transmission have some problem. So when I speed up to 35 mph, gears changed and the noise comes out...

What about the Idle Air Control solinoid? I had a similar problem with my Contour 2.5 v6. At a constant speed or idle the noise would happen. If you gave it more gas or let off it seemed ot go away. Wound up being the IAC. I just pulled it off and cleaned it out with carb cleaner. The noise hasn't been back.

but what is Idle Air Control solinoid? is it transmission solinoid?

The IAC is the Idle Air Control on the engine and is not related to your problem.
