Hi to All

2000 Ford Taurus 3.0 V6 OHV.

I was changing my back plugs and wires and went to give it a ride and all was good

Suddenly my coolant gauge was going up quick. I pulled over to check reservoir and it was empty and I noticed a small leak underneath the car.

Towed back to my garage put on stands, went underneath car and I noticed a hole in a pipe that's crimped with a hose that leads up to the drivers side of car.

Leaked from pipe and it looks pretty rusted. What is the name of pipe/hose so that I can order and possibly replace myself. Thank you all for the help

I believe its called Heater Tube Assembly. There's inlet and outlet tubes, should be the inlet assembly you'll need. Ford part number F6DZ18B402AA.

Thank you so much for your help. I was really at a loss for words to the part. I will post pictures Monday just to see if you or anyone else can add some info in respect to difficulty of doing this myself. Again my thanks and my best.

Also RockAuto Auto Parts list the hose as the Heater Hose Assembly and have it in stock (generic) for under 40 bucks.

I've also heard it called a heater bypass hose/tube.

Jwko thanks again. You were right on with your assessment. I already ordered one already and it is on it's way. I am just waiting for part and then it will be repaired.
