Posted this a few days ago in the general tech forum with no response, maybe I'll get better luck here.

Greetings. I just bought a 2001 Ford Taurus with 122,000 miles on it (yes, I know it's old and high mileage. You can thank a poor economy-mandated budget of $3,500). In the glove box with a maintenance manual with a schedule for when to take it in for maintenance. It's pretty cool, but only goes up to 125,000 miles. Can anyone suggest a schedule for beyond that?

May I ask a few Question???

1. What size engine do you have in this 2001??
2. What (if any) has been done with this car as per the Maintenance Schedule???
3. Have you check the Fluids in the Oil,,,Transmission,,,and Anti-Freeze???

I have a 2000 Taurus...with 122k...I always do the basics....I also will start from the beginning of the recommended schedule and repeat it as necessary.
