HO2 Sensor Sable 05 Duratec 30

The upper Bank 1 HO2 sensor can be removed without removing the upper air intake manifold. Work from passenger side. Trick is to unplug the sensor with one hand. Thumb to depress tab and patience. Practice on the front sensor. I used a standard O2 socket with side slit and 1/2 driver. Caution the socket slipping off the sensor and twisting the connect wiring. The top of the sensor is visible. If needed, use a piece of sponge or rolled napkin soaked with, for example PB Catalytic Penetrant. I R&R both uppers because I wasn't satisfied with LTFT performance MotorCrafts. Total cost of the Bosch sensors delivered was $87. Gain was .5 to 1 mpg dependent on usage.
