Bought 1998 Taurus 24v DOHC for my son. No papers found in car, It has keyless entry but where would I find the hidden code???
P.S. Very impressed with this car, It moves...

From what I remember its under the dash behind the center consol on a module. I cant remember the exact location though. I hope this helps!!!!

Keyless Entry Code

I bought a 2000 Sable used and didn't have the keyless entry code. I read nearly every page of my shop manuals and finally found where the factory 'hides' the code. It's only in (1) place on the entire car, a sticker on the BACK side of your GEM module. The GEM Module is behind the main fuse panel under the dash. I was able to loosen the assembly enough and with a flash light and mirror read the sticker to get the code. Now it works perfect!!

I found mine here on my 97.







Pics are above drivers side floor area, brake pedal shown in pic. Its on a sticker on the right side of the circled grey box. You have to get a flash light and gently push the grey box to the left to read it. Hope this helps.
