Hi guys
I registered here because I need help with HID kit for one of my customers cars. Its a 2006 Ford Taurus. The car takes 9007 bulbs but you already know that. Guy came to me wanting some HIDs. After all set and done we got to installing everything is install went smooth. Headlights came out without issues. Bulbs went in with no trouble. Relay harness was installed for Hi/Lo HID bulb but the bulb would not lights up. We tried rewiring the relay harness and flipping polarity on harness but nothing would make it lights up. I plugged in ballast directly into the car harness and bulb light up with out issues.
Could someone help me out with this? Is there a special way to hook up HIDs in that car? Does it have DRLs that need to be disabled?
Any help would be much appreciated.

You do know that installing HID's in a headlight assembly made and certified for Halogen bulbs is illegal, right?

Those drop in kits don't have the same focal point, run hotter (and can melt the lens), and some even draw too much power.

I wouldn't touch a job like that. Way too much liability.
