I have some problems with my 1992 Taurus SHO and wondering if you could help me with any if possible.
1. The Break lights arent working (including the upper break light), and its not a fuse. Also the tail lights DO work.
2. The lower fog lights arent working either (but the button shows they are enabled).
3. The rear defrosters dont turn on.
4. The hood light doesnt work.

5. Is there away to disable the trunk lock thats inside the car (Cant find a truck key for it, and the button was pushed to lock it).

So fuse number 17 is good? The taillights will work even if the fuse for the brakes is gone.

Check number 24 in the passenger fuse panel.

Check Fuse number 7 in the passenger fuse panel. Also you can check the relay in number 9.

Have you replaced the bulb? Have you checked for voltage on the line?


Not sure on that one. Have to look at diagrams.

take the screws out of the black cover on the insode of the lock for the trunk , take out the bolt to the lock , if you look at it you can tell what to take off to take out the lock and then it wont lock on you , after you get it unlocked , if you have the keypad , look on the inside of the trunk lid or the black box behind the carpet on the back of the seat for the code and type it in it will unlock your doors or type it in and hit 5/6 and the trunk will open
