HELP!!!!! 97 Taurus gl just cracked 100k and the problems are coming.
My antifreeze suddenly leaked while driving and and now the fans wont cut back on. i drained the antifreeze and poured new antifreeze in it and the car runs but the fans dont. its stuck on the side of the highway right now. is there a way u could get the fans back on. if not i have to call a tow truck to get it

Check the 40A cooling fan fuse in the PDC fuse box by the battery. If it is bad, and you have ABS, pull the 40A ABS fuse and see if it works. Check to see if the fan motors spin by hand with the key off. If ones locked up do not try the fuse. Otherwise, if there's no traffic, drive home with the heater on (this will actually help some to keep the motor cool). Just keep moving, and if you have to stop shift into neutral and raise the RPM's a little.
