Re: Need Help with Waterpump-97 Taurus
For a 3.0 Vulcan drain the cooling system, loosen but do not remove the water pump pulley bolts, remove the serp. belt, remove the belt tensioner, the water pump pulley, the water pump retaining bolts and then the water pump. For greater access unbolt the alternator and set it aside without removing the wiring. When reassembling the lower bolt in the very back for the water pump requires sealant. For a 3.0 Duratec drain the cooling system, remove the serp. belt, remove the radiator and heater hoses, remove the bolts and remove the pump. For a SHO 3.4 drain the cooling system, remove the battery and tray, remove the appearance cover, the water pump drive belt, the water pump pulley, the thermostat housing, the radiator hoses, then the retaining bolts, remove the pump from the front cylinder head and remove the idler pulley. Good Luck!!!
