Question Need some help- 2005 Ford Taurus

Ok guys, maybe you can help.... This weekend my car has been doing this annoying (kick/jolt/skip). When I drive from 0 to 25mph the car does this annoying "thing". It feels like the car either skips or catches up on the gear shift at around 25mph. Once the car is in motion and you pass 25mph and then reduce back down to like 5 or so, then drive off again past the 25mph it doesn't do it's jolt. I am scheduled for a service center to see what's wrong but if I can find out sooner than later it would sooth my thoughts to know it's nothing major!! HELP!! Just got this car last April.
