Hello Guys:

I need some help and Guidance>

Got a Broken Coil Spring on our 2000 Taurus...Driver side. Ever thing was going smooth till I tried to get the Ball Joint out.

I got the Nut off ok, Put my Pickle Wrench in and started to Pry it loose....NNNOOOO good...I have gotten the Ball JOint up a little.....but it wont disengage the Control Arm. I have Banged on Ball Joint Bolt upward. Banged the Control Arm down. I even went as far as putting two wedges in.

An nothing...I can not get this %&$&$$# (*(&%%%$$ OFF!!!!!

Can anyone give me some help???

Try removing the snap ring

Hi Chip, the ball joint is in the knuckle. He's trying to swing the control arm down enough to clear the ball joint, not remove it.

tbird pointed out that there is a recall on the 00 Taurus for broken coil springs, 10yr/150k I believe is what he said.

Sounds like he is trying to get the ball joint out to me. Reread the post.
