New to forum, Motor mount question

Hello, this is my first post on this forum. I'm speaking for my girlfriend since she is the one with the Ford. She has a 91 Taurus GL that needs the front engine mount replaced. The autoshop qouted her $350 just for one mount, but i know that the other one, and transmission mount, are ready to fail. So replacing just one is only going to solve the problem for a short amount of time. My question is, has anyone ever done the mounts themselves? I have an engine hoist, so i'm thinking since i have the right tools it shouldn't be to difficult. I'm going out to by a Haynes manual now. Also, whats the best place to buy motor and tranny mounts? You can do the mounts without lifting the engine out. You may have to raise it some, but not out.

I would get mounts from any parts store for a car that old.

Are there two front mounts, and one rear? Does anyone know the part numbers, or where i can look to find them. I bought a Haynes and it looks easy. I just want to make sure i order the correct parts. It also looks like i'll need new bolts, should i just get these at the dealership?

Napa Online has the parts, but they all say "Right", so thats whats confusing me. I called up Pep Boys and the guy asked me if its the left or right mount?!?! I looked under the car and all i see is one front, and one rear. Whats left and right mounts?

I just had new engine mounts and vaccum hoses put on my 99 Sable about 3months ago and the dealership charged me $600.00.
