Hi guys, I just had a simple question. I've just purchased a 12 volt air compressor, and in the instructions it says it will work only in a socket rated 10 amps or higher. I have a 97 taurus and I was wondering if this product would work ok with my car. I don't want to blow any fuses or damage the electrical system in any way, so I thought I would ask before trying it. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

It should work fine in the cigarette lighter assuming it has that sort of plug.

I have a 12 volt pump I use in my Jeep. It occasionally blew fuses. I opted to snip off the lighter adapter and put on battery clips. Works like a charm now. Also I don't have to worry about helping out someone who doesn't have a lighter. I can hook up to their battery if need be.
