What special tool??? It's just one bolt and it slips out. If it's a 3.0L Vulcan engine it's pretty easy. Just reach down behind the back of the engine to get at it. 3.0L Duratec is harder, you may have to do it from underneath. With no speedometer and no shifting, this is the most logical place to start.

Sorry I am new at this I am trying to find it in the book what is called the sensor so I can find it in the book I thank for the help so far.

The VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR. Should be in the transmission section of the shop manual.

Thanks I will `give it A try tomorrow and let you know I will make sure to get the right part this time and not the wrong part put it did get rid of the check engie light for know and again thanks for all the help.

I have another question I belive my belt needs to be change there is a whistling sound coming from that area espcially when I start up and it takes awhile for it to stop. The belt looks ok but not sure or could it be a pulley any help would great again.

You'd have to remove the belt and spin each pulley seperately. I think it's a 15mm wrench on the tensoner. You''ll feel and here a diffrence in sound. Really grainy feel way indicate an issue, usually an idler or tensioner pulley.
