The problem with the PCV on any car for that matter (and I am talking generally here), is that the rubber gasket gets very hard and you cannot just pull out the PCV, the rubber breaks and can drop into the motor, so you need to pull the rocker cover off to replace it and put a new rubber gasket in while at it.
If the rubber gasket is still well rubber, then just pull out the old PCV, and drop in the new PCV, very simple job.
