Why didn't Ford when building the current late model Ford Taurus didn't they build all models with rear wheel disks? I realize that the wagon may be driven with more weight (cargo and families on trips)but why were the sedan owners penalized with antiquated rear drums? What opinions are out there in upgrading the sedans with the wagon rear brakes?
Costs. that is most of it. Usually the general reason why they would shove drums on a car. I would not forsee a problem doing a swap but I would make sure that you get the combivalve from a wagon to be put in your MC if youa re going to do a disk setup. The pressure setup is different between the two cars as well as the braking force.
