You cannot play from a data disc. Your cd burning software should give you the option 'make an mp3 cd'(holds a few hundred songs) or 'make a music cd'(about 18 songs). They are different formats than data discs...no car reviever reads data discs. All cd players, even 10 year old players should play a regular burned cd(buy blank cd-r discs, not blank cd-rw discs). You using a data disc suggests that you were trying to put a lot of songs on the cd which in that case you'll want to make an mp3 cd but buy new reciever that supports mp3[cd] playback. Just burn a lot of regular cd's using the 'make a music cd' option, seeng that you have adequate burning software. You can get the Nero trial version http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/nero-prog.php
....or you can 'buy' software for like $15
p.s. your name suggests you're from New York City...how come everyone's so friendly there...and I thought Canadians were cheerful.
