Doesn't open from inside or outside??? Does it unlock??? Only way to know is get door open if possible and pull door panel.

Latch is common failure, but of course you can't get to it untill you open the door. I don't recommend trying it yourself unless you don't mind messing up the door panel.
Good Luck!

It won't open from the inside or outside, I was trying to figure out a way to get the inside panel off with the door closed.

Re: Pssngr side door won't open

WOW! I don't know if that's even possible. I had my 05 panel off yesterday to work on the window and a couple screws are only accessable with the door open. You may have to plan on ruining the panel to get it off and replacing it with one from the junk yard when you get the latch problem fixed.
I don't envy your situation. Bad enough working on doors when they're open but inside with the seat in the way?? Best of luck. Let us know how it goes. Doug

Have you tried what is called a "Slim Jim"? This is a thin strip of metal, with a notch and groove, that will slip down into Door Frame, and window.

The Police, and Wrecker drivers use to carry these to help "Jimmy Open" a lock door....while the keys were inside....

Sounds like to me that one of the Latch rods to the inside/outside handle is broken...

I've got the same problem with my 98 Taurus, luckly the door panel frame could be removed from inside after removing the rear seat. I'm planning to work on the door this Sat,,
