Does the radio for a 2000 mercury sable, the one with electronic/digital heater controls below it, have RCA in-puts on back for the optional cd changer?

No. I'm not sure on the vehicles with a full console (because around 2000 redesign, the changer was moved to the inside of the console) On 6 passenger cars (changer in trunk) the changer plugs directly into the rear chassis unit (actual radio electronics, dash unit is just a display). The full console changer most likely have a lengthened jumper harness to connect to the rear unit.
