Does anybody know of an module that will interface an ECU so it can be read on a laptop??

I should have included that the ECU I want to connect to is an OSB2 (97 Taurus). I saw them on the internet a couple of months ago, but I didn't book mark the page and now I can't find them.

They have a pretty good OBD2 Reader but it does not allow you to do any programming. It is good for all 96 and newer vehicles, and comes with some pretty cool software.

Depends on what you mean by reading the ECU? SCT has a flasher/data logger that can be connected to a laptop (Xcalibrator 2). You can then use SCT's software to log various parameters while you drive. Save the log and review it with the same software or export it s a *.csv file.

The Xcal2 will hold three programs. When you initially use it to load a program into the PCM the Xcal 2 will download and store your OEM program so it can be put back if you want to.
