I just bought another Sho Its a 1990 model , i also have a 1989 model which i have successfully hot wired myself before.... well back to point here the new taurus i just got the owner couldnt find the key... and hotwireing it has not been anywhere successful to get a new key cut i need the key code... which i dont have... and cannot get.. but my last option is remove the igition switch and take it to the ford dealership where they can get the keycode.... HENCE MY PROBLEM... How do u remove the ignition switch from a 1990 Ford Taurus SHO... I hear about a pin... that has to be knocked out but how much force... i needed better details... PLEASE i wanna hit the road!

Call a locksmith to make a key for you. I will not give the info. to use force for switch removal, especially to a member with only one post.

I took my ignition switch by following the manual...and I needed the key to be able to remove it....I agree, call a locksmith.
