Road racing the first gen SHO
Hi guys,
I'm a Honda guy so I don't really know anything about SHO's. I'm planning on racing a 1990 Taurus SHO with 149k miles at a 24 hour endurance race a few months from now. The budget for modifications is very limited and we mainly want to improve the handling. Is there anything not obvious that we can do besides remove all unneccessary weight, strut/sway bars, springs, shocks etc?
Also, are there any problems with the engines that we should take care of preventatively before we do this? Such as piston rings, bearings, sensors, etc?
Thanks!
Chris
