Over the last year replaced all four o2 sensors,a Cadillac converter , and the EGR valve now with all this said I am still currently having trouble with the car stalling out, usually stalls out after running about 30 to 35 miles and then when you slow down to a stop sign are stoplight it just stalls. then you have to restart but again when you take your foot off the gas pedal it will stall out again it will continue to do this for about 5 to 10 minutes until you stay steady at about 30 miles an hour more for couple minutes then it will go away. can anybody out there please help this is my mother in laws car and I am trying to get this fixed I've already put over 2000 dollars into this car and I'm trying to make sure that my investment doesn't go to the trash pile.
Also I have had 0 engine codes since replacing the o2 sensors and the valve. I have also disconnected the MAF sensor while running the car and there is no change is this a sign of the mass air flow sensor being bad? I have also checked the IAC and when disconnected it does not idle at all so I do not believe that is the problem. Thanks in advance
Ok I ran the car yesterday down the highway and got two new codes, 1 was the EGRvalve was either lack of air flow or a blockage the second code was the air pump was detected with little or no flow. I have already changed the EGR valve and I do not believe this can cause another code to pop up but I could be wrong. does anybody have any experience with the air pump code. When I google this I investigated where the air pump was and the circuits, I checked the circuits and fuses and all were okay. Unfortunately I cannot access the air pump itself because its under the ABS system and sits on top of the car frame any suggestions?
