Sable '98 DRL-unknown problem

Hello all!

When I switch off the engine and pull out the key the lights remain on and there is no way to switch them off. Last thing that I have done is to remove the fuse frome engine compartment that feeds the DRL module (not sure) and the lights gone out. Can anyone provide a suggestion what to do... I can't locate the DRL module... And I'm not sure that the problem is exactly in that module...
Thanks

No. The car doesn't have the autolamp function. There is only a dimmer for the instrument cluster.

The DRL module is on the front side of the drivers side fender. It is directly above the horn. If you want to eliminate them just leave the fuse out.

Re: Sable '98 DRL-unknown problem

I have another question. I had left the fuse out but the light brake is blinking sometimes. What is the problem? And can you tell me if there is a way to repair the DRL module...

cool Re: Sable '98 DRL-unknown problem

DRL module cannot be repaired-just replaced. As far as you blinking brake warning light check the fluid level in the master cylinder. If it's low top it off and check the calipers and wheel cylinders for leakage. If the fluid is not low make sure the parking brake is not applied or the cables are not stretched or binding.

Re: Sable '98 DRL-unknown problem

That was a problem since I have bougt the car. When I enable the parking brake, the light did not came on just a few times. Now, with the fuse out it lights. As I saw the master brake cilinder does not have the level check. That's why the low level brake fluid could not make the light blinking. I have inspected the wires. All seems to be ok.
