Securit alarm triggering by itself.....
Need some input here......I have a 2001 Merc Sable LS Prem. It's been a terrific car. Lately we've had to move the car from the garage to the driveway. From time to time the security alrarm goes off by itself. We usually hear the thing after a while, or a neighbor calls. I push the unlock on the keyfob and it stops, but the thing can be going for a while if no one hears it. This never happened before. What could be causing this??? Outside intrusion from other electronic sources..??? Bad or intermittent sensor in door locks...??? This is gonna be a bugger to find. The dealer really can't find anything unless it's acting up when it's brought in.
Is there a way to disable the alrarm system without sacrificing the airbags or doorlocks ????
