Re: should have known better

Any diagnostic codes?

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

Re: should have known better

Try it without the fuel tank cap off; the valve in the cap may have failed - if air can't get in it's hard for the pump to extract much fuel.

Re: should have known better

tried it with cap off & it makes no difference. It acts like it wants to run.It tries hard to stay running. it will start, idle smooth for a minute then stumble, smooth out again over and over then eventually die.

Re: should have known better

I guess it could be a bad ground on the tps. Is this correct? As for the other,I think I gave you the wrong code.It should have been P0443.Which is evaporative emission control system purge control valve circuit.I am unsure of how to fix this. any ideas.

Re: should have known better

Not sure if I misread the code or not ,

P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction (vapour management valve circuit)

Possibly a failure of the solenoid that opens/closes the vapour management valve, or the wiring, or the PCM.
