Shuddering in my Steering Wheel - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have 2000 Ford Taurus SE with shuddering in my steering wheel. It only happens at 60mph and above.

I just had a flat on the drivers side front tire. I think maybe it needs balancing. I wanted to get any feedback on it in case it isn't the tire.

I think you pinned it down. It could even be out of round.

So don't drive over the speed limit. You won't have a aproblem. What does the flat tire have to do with anything ? What happend to the tire ? Is that tire causing a problem ?
An unbalanced tire usually shows up around 30 - 50 m.p.h. Goes away after 60. So, What is " shuddering " ?

Geez chip, go easy on the guy...

If you want to eliminate the tire as the cause move it to the passenger side rear. If the noise/vibration is still up front then something else is wrong.

Hi and thanks for the responses. Even you Chip ha ha! Guys, no apologies necessary Chip I am a big boy but thanks for the spirited defense.

. In response to Chip, the speed limit on my road is 65mph and trust me even the old ladies in their cadillacs don't drive 65 haha. I will do as you guys say this weekend. In the Meantime I am driving my wifes ride.
