Hi... newbie here... I just bought a '98 Taurus sedan, SE, Duratec V6 with a sunroof.... the Sunroof will not open, as though there is no power to the switch. Also, the map lights also housed in the Sunroof switch console do not work. I figured it was a fuse problem, so I looked in the owners manual. According to the chart in the book and the chart on the fuse box cover, there is no fuse for the map lights or the sunroof. That seemed odd to me, so I pulled some of the fuses and looked at the rest with a flashlight, and could not find any bad ones. So... any ideas out there as to what's up with my sunroof? Is there in fact a hidden fuse somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Fuse block labels don't list every single item they feed. A $5.00 test light and you can check the fuses in less than a minute. There is also fuses located under the hood, but I would think the ones you are looking for would be under the dash (but not for sure) Some vehicles also have a fuse panel on the passenger side, behind the kick panel.
