I have the standard radio in my 96 LX wagon but my unit has digital controls on it. At any rate, I have searched endlessly for a radio kit that would allow me to mount an aftermarket cd player in there but they only make those kits for tauruses with rotary controls. Is it possible to switch from digital to rotary or is that a big hassle?

Right now I'm using my iPOD and an FM modulator, and the shound quality isn't all that great to me. I even tried using a tape adapter but my tape player keeps spitting it out. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You cannot switch from Electronic Air Temperature Controls to Manual A/C Controls. Although the A/C box is the same and most of the vacuum harness are the same the electronics and wiring is totally different. You would have to modify the wiring harness to make it work which is not worth the effort. Sorry!!!

do you know anything about the tape player spitting out any tape adapter I use?
