I need to replace the front bumper cover on my 95 Sable and wanted to know if the Taurus bumper assembly is the same as the Sable one. Car part search says no, but I am thinking they have to be the same, just different fiberglass molding and design. I am thinking the size and mounts have to be the same for the bumper itself which will actually be easier to remove as a whole unit on the car than just the cover from what i can see, and the local salvage yard doesn't have a single Sable one that is usable but tons of Taurus ones....

They are not the same. Taurus bumpers are marginally wider and chunkier. Won't totally fit unless you swap fenders, lamps and surounding front grille work. Keep searching for the correct one. Less hassle and $.

Hey thanks, you saved me alot of time and money. I have since located a Sable one in color for a pretty penny, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and move on...
