I have a 94 Taurus built in late 93, and the tranny is shifting weird, which I understand to be a valve problem. I have access to a tranny from a 95 Sable and I was wondering if there is any hope that they might interchange. Both cars have the 3.0 liter V6 engine Would appreciate any insight that any one can offer.

Tough one. That's right about the time they were switching over from the AXOD to the AXODE. The AXODE has the soleoids. AXOD is mechanical shifting. You can look on the side pan and see what's stamped there or you can look at the bottom bolt pattern.
