Wife has a 2001 Ford Taurus and today it started to stutter or shift a lil hard when going form 55-60mph.. Any suggestions....car has 62k miles

any check engine lights? could be an egr or ignition problem. could be bad gas too.

How many miles are on it? Have you ever changed the tranny fluid? If not then it would be better to have it flushed at a dealership!!! It imporoed my problem I had like that. My SHO had 60,000+ miles on it and the tranny fluid was never changed OR flushed. The tranny fluid should at least be changed every 35,000 miles. I wuold recomend having it flushed though.
