I have fluid leak between the engine and the transmission.
A shade tree mechanic told me the transmission was overheating and the fliud was comming from a vent inside the bellhousing. The car runs below normal on the heat gauge.
Another mechanic told me it was coming from the converter and input shaft due to wore bushings wearing the seal out.
Transmission was recently rebuilt to take care of the same problem but it has started leaking again.
Anyone have any ideas?

I would have to lean towards the "Another Mechanic" ... I would strongly suggest you take your car back to the Mechanic that did this repair ... And Raise a Stink.

Please advise further.

My 01 Taurus' transmission was overheating and blowing out the vent, my temp gauge was also normal. What was happening, the coolant tank had leaked, the radiator was running low and the transmission cooler tube inside the radiator was not immersed in coolant causing fluid to boil.
