I had to replace the right CV Joint this weekend (boot shredded and lost all the grease) and I noticed a rust hole/crack in the body right where the H frame bolts up to the footwell area. Its about 3 inches long and runs up the footwell toward the firewall.

Is this weldable or should I start looking for another car?

I have seen this on older Taurus models. They also rot out at the rear subframe mounts. A good welder can fix it for you if you want to keep it.
