i have a 04 taurus ses....i want to install a new headunit...the prob is the airbag light is in the factory den.......no 1 makes a den for the 04-05 taurus.....what can i do to make 1 of the after market install kits work without disableing the airbag system?

I have a 2004 also, and ran into the same problem. I decided not to wait for someone to come out with a new kit for these cars. Since the head end unit works well, as far as quality, but the stock amp is way underpowered, I have on order new speakers for all 4 spots, and a kicker amp to hook to the stock HU for the power needed. I also have a small powered sub for the trunk. I went with the Sony Explods (6X8) in the rear, and Blaupunkt (5X7/6X8) for the front. The amp is rated at 60watts RMS to each speaker. The sub is a Rampage BA100. This should make it a pretty good setup. It's an option for you instead of changing the HU. If you're set on changing the HU, try an audio forum for some help. I hadn't got much help on this one.
