Where to get a shorter serpentine belt for '04 Sable

By playing with the belt a couple of times, I come to feel that
the routing of the serpentine belt for Vulcan v6 is so inefficient.

I want to buy a serpentine belt several inches shorter to bypass
the idler pulley. The reason, to my understanding, to put a pulley
in that location is to ensure enough friction between alternator
pulley and belt. However, I'm not a tough driver and never go
beyond 3000rpm. In this situation, the idler pulley will only
generate more friction and consume more horsepower. Even if
the belt go directly from the alternator to the power steering,
I don't expect any belt slipping in my driving style. Instead, I would
expect a gain of 5~10 hps and 2~3 mph.

The point is where to get such a customized serpentine belt?

So your going to reinvent the wheel. I think the Ford engineers have spent thousands of
hours and money designing this system and you say it's wrong ? Even if you shorten the
belt you will never gain 5 - 10 H.P or any increase in mileage. you will actually cause the
belt to over heat and slip. With the extra tension you have to put on the belt after removing the idler pulley you will shorten the life of the alt. and water pump bearings.
Don't do it. That pulley is there for a reason. They didn't just find a box of these and needed to put them somewhere.
