hi there to all of you taurus owners i have a taurus v6 3.0 engine all stock. i have a whistling sound coming out from black air intake hose if i pinch it it will stop whistling for 30 seconds or so and whistle again it has rough idle now if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

What year, what model, and are you talking about the air cleaner or mass air flow sensor-to- throttle body hose???

hi there again sorry forgot to mention the year its a ford taurus 1996 v6 3.0 not the 24 valve i have a high pitched sound coming from black air duct hose from throttle body to mass air flow sensor i found a hose that was very collapsed that goes to oil cap and it goes to the black air duct to the throttle body put new hose and the noise went away but now i have a slight rough idle i can tell by the tach it jumps slightly temp seemed a little different too can anyone give me some advise on what it could be... car was running good before i put new hose it had that whistle noise but did not have a slight rough idle... please help

On top of the back valve cover- towards the R. side of the car.
