2007SE /Vulcan /72K miles. I was just pulling into my driveway when the whole front of the car started to put out a cloud white smoke which then got into the vents and the inside of the car. Did not smell like coolant; not sweet. Opening the hood, the smoke seemed to be coming from the right front near the pulleys. The A/C had nearly entirely quit just before the smoke started. The pulleys and belt don't show any signs of oil or abnormal wear. No abnormal noises, either. Just used during a short trip of abt. 20 mins; temp. ~ 89F. Temp. gauge reads steady at ~ one needle width to the left of center. After the car sat for abt 2 minutes I started it up and there was no more smoke and the A/C seemed normal. The P/S fluid level was abt 1/4in. above the cold fill mark. Oil and coolant levels do not seem more or less than normal. There have been a few oil spots under the car but not much; abt. the size of a quarter in the morning after using it the previous day ever since I got the car ~ 2 months ago. Any ideas about what the problem could be would be welcomed

Sorry for the Delay in your question. First I would advise you to take this back to the place you bought it, and see if they are willing to help resolve this issue.

White smoke is normally burning coolant, but if it is from burning coolant then one of the cylinder head gaskets might have blown.

There may just be a minor Leak from the Oil leaking onto the Exhaust pipe somewhere

Thx for your reply. Not a HG, IMO. The cloud of smoke was coming from the A/C compressor area which may be it's or another bearing in the area seizing up and burning the belt. The serp. belt did not fry or break and the car started up again later just fine. My thoughts are that oil is getting on the belt and causing it to slip. I've got to get under the car to find the leak if that's the problem. Of course, I hope its not the A/C bearing or something more $$$. Going back to the seller is not an option. I'm new to the Taurus, but not to other cars, so I appreciate your help.
