I drive an 03 Taurus.

I just had my blower motor replaced, and decided to get the wiper cowl replaced again too. (It was previously
replaced, under the TSB but seems to have warped as there was a space between the panel and the windshield)

How can I tell if this was replaced properly (work done at a Ford dealer)

What recourse do I have if it wasn't fitted tightly enough?

(the new part fits significantly better than the old one, but there is
still a little space and some overlap where the the right panel meets
the left panel)

Maybe the tech who installed it did not get all the lock tabs in place. Remove the 3 steel clips and then pull up and look in there for a bent tab.
