I bought a 2001 mustang coupe a couple months ago. 2 weeks ago it started having issues and when the heater is on if I put it in nuetral it almost dies, the rpms drop to 400 and it shudders then bounces up and down constantly. It has actually died twice when doing this. Well now in the last week it has started revving itself, sometimes when I engage the clutch it will just stay at whatever rpm it was at, sometimes it drops down and then goes up on its own. Recently it started driving itself! If I take my feet off all pedals 1 out of 5 times it will keep driving itself. What the heck is going on?! I can barely afford the car let alone chase the problem so if anyone knows what's going on advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, the dropping down with the heater thing is very consistant. The revving however will happen sometimes once a day and sometimes constantly. Thank you for your help!

For the heater problem, check what the voltage output of the alternator with the heat on and off. For the idle issue, first verify that your throttle linkage\cable are free to move.
