Hey Ford People,
I have a 302 #C80E-6015-A and a 3 speed toploader casting# C8AR-7006-B, which i know was built for a 69 mustang 6-200/6-250. I need a bellhousing to mount this 3 speed to the 302. Can someone help me??? 2 questions
1st is there a bellhousing made for this!!
2nd if so, what is the casting # so i can start looking for one?
As long as you're past the 64/ 5-bolt era, any four speed bellhousing will work. Provided it's from a 289/302/351W/351C car. The trucks had the bigger flywheels. The bolt patterns are the same for the three speeds and the four speeds. Also, the input shafts are the same. One more thing- the trans needs to be the toploader/V8 not the 6 cylinder model ( they're noticibly smaller).Hope this helps
