Hi everyone. This is my first time on this website and I was wondering if I could switch out a stock intake manifold (1998 Mustang GT) with something like a GT40 intake or something comprable without modifying anything else. And, what benefits that might bring.

A GT-40 is a 5.0 manifold and you have a 4.6. Two completely different engines and not interchangeable in any way, shape or form. There are a few aftermarket manifolds out there for the SOHC 4.6, but not very many. Edelbrock and Performance Products come immediately to mind. You cleared a lot of things up. I was thinking that I was wrong about the GT40, but I wasn't sure. The last Mustang that I had was a 1993 LX Coupe (5.0) and that's why GT40 stuck in my head. A Summit catalog is on the way as we speak. Thank you so much. What kind of intake is on a 4.6L SOHC Cobra? Thanks again.
