This guy over at the Viper forum recently purchased two 2003 Mustang Cobras, and has put 1000miles on one of them, he is claiming it feels as quick as his Viper.
It ran a 12.3@118mph stock other than tyres and slight weight reduction.

Although some guys at LS1.com and even the Corral.net think it sounds a bit fishy as that MPH of 118 would mean its making around 100Hp more than its claimed 390....

Regardless, its making some serious power, check out this vid for how easily it smokes up those 275 wide tyres in 1st and 2nd....

It should be interesting in seeing how quick the GT40 will be with its 5.4L Supercharged and being 300-400Kg lighter than this Stang....

The GT40 should get in the 11's you would think. The new Cobra is awesome I wish it was going to get sold here.
