How can I get more HP- it's bone stock- besides exhaust- help please! Appreciate it!

How much HP? Did you add headers with the exhaust mod, and what is the exhaust mod.

The main thing you do to an auto to add horse power is increase the flow through the the engine. The addition of a cold air intake and increasing the size of the exhaust pipe and exhaust manifold (which includes a freer flowing catalytic converter) is a good start to get it a little quicker than normal, better gas mileage, and not a lot of bucks, all things considering. How far do you want to go and how much do you have to spend?

As Catskinner said, the engine is just a big air pump. The more air the engine can flow, the more HP it will make. Sounds simple, but it is not. You will need a good chassis dyno tune to customize the PCM's fuel and timing curves to your engine to get the benefits of any mods worth the effort. Otherwise, you've just wasted your money on "eye candy" performance. (You would be surprised at how much additional HP is available to a well cared for stock engine with a chassis dyno tune). Don't overlook drivetrain mods to get the extra power to the ground.
